Rainbow Dinner makes a living by you participating in our events. We do not make a living by selling or passing on your information to others, which is why your information is secure at Rainbow Dinner.

    Transaction information
    In connection with a registration for a Rainbow Dinner event, we collect the information necessary to complete the transaction (information regarding payment for and delivery of our service), such as credit card data, email, phone number, address, etc.

    Registration information
    In order to provide our service to you, we collect various information about you. This information is intended to ensure you a good match in relation to a travel buddy on the evening itself. Hence, we ask you about your age, your sexuality, your gender identity and your preferred match in relation to gender identity.

    If you give us your consent to communicate with you regarding offers, promotions, etc., we collect and retain information about your preferences, channel selection, language, previous participation in Rainbow Dinner etc. This information is intended to ensure that the inquiries we send to you are as relevant as possible.     Our webshop is based on WordPress, WooCommerce and related services. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that enables you to sign up for our events.

    Your data is stored in databases associated with WordPress and WooCommerce. Your data is always encrypted and stored on a secure server behind a firewall that complies with the applicable industry standards at all times.

    If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, WooCommerce will store your credit card information. Your data is encrypted via the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data will only be stored for as long as necessary to complete your purchase. Once the transaction is completed, your information will be deleted.

    All direct payment gateways comply with the standards set by the PCI-DSS managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of credit card brands such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.


  5. Third party services

    In general, the third party providers used by Rainbow Dinner will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to enable them to perform the services they provide to us.

    Rainbow Dinner uses Mailchimp as our CRM and communication tool. Thus, Mailchimp keeps information about you. If you have given us your marketing consent, Mailchimp will keep the information we have about you - and which you have given us permission to collect and store about you. If you have registered for a Rainbow Dinner event, but have not given us marketing consent, Mailchimp will only keep basic information about you.

    Certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways, have their own privacy policies in relation to the information we are required to provide to them in connection with your transactions.

    Please note that certain providers may be located in or have facilities located under a different jurisdiction than either you or us.
